Please pretend like I sent this in August
Hello everyone! Yes this is the AUGUST issue of my newsletter that I'm getting to in ::checks notes:: mid-September. This month has been a bit of a mess—returning from a lot of travel, getting sick, helping my toddler transition from daycare to preschool. Hence the delay!
At the end of August, I went to Florida to cover the launch of Artemis I and SLS, NASA's new moon rocket. The rocket didn't launch (it may or may not—my money is on not—later this month) but it was lovely to get back down to the Space Coast, hang out with some space reporter friends, and get excited about new beginnings for NASA. I'm covering the mission, whether I'm there or not for the launch, so feel free to follow along on Twitter.
If like me, you're enjoying Rings of Power, join Preeti Chhibber and me tweeting from the @DesiGeekGirls Twitter account every Friday evening at 8 PM ET, where we have a watch party and live tweet each week's episode.
Until next month!

I am thrilled that our latest episode on lab-grown meat is out! I'm really proud of this one and would love for you to watch it.

This week Swapna and Preeti go through the many, many highs (and very minor nitpicks) of Disney+'s Ms. Marvel series. Plus, they dig into the Andor trailer, highlight Thirsty Suitors, and more!

Books + TV recommendations
I'm currently speeding through the second season of Only Murders in the Building, one of my favorite shows on television right now. On audio, I'm listening to A House of Rage and Sorrow, the second book in Sangu Mandanna's space opera trilogy based on The Mahabharata.
